Meet Jo

Jo Booth created Sayjo Recruitment having gained over 25 years experience in running successful engineering, manufacturing and commercial recruitment businesses. Her knowledge and continued specialism is held in high regard, with many of her clients having used her expertise since the start of her career.

She is entrusted with their full recruitment needs from Shop Floor to Director Level, offering a professional and personable service to both clients and candidates alike. It is testament to the level of care given to each role, seeing many a candidate become a client over the years and how many clients return time and time again for support with their recruitment.

Meet Louise

Louise Lowe joined the recruitment world back in 2000, initially within the traditional temporary and permanent recruitment world, before onsite account management, offering recruitment from an inhouse perspective.

She joined Sayjo Recruitment in 2021, focused on permanent placements for multiple sectors, giving clients the full spectrum of recruitment support they need throughout their divisions. Taking the time to get to know each candidate and client properly, to make the best possible match each time is where Louise pins her success. The reward of seeing people happy in their new careers is the key reason she loves the recruitment industry.

Meet Kelly

Originally from London, Kelly Smith relocated to West Yorkshire a few years ago. Kelly is an experienced Director of Sales with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality and sports/leisure industries. Having worked for Merlin Entertainments and Intercontinental hotels group for over 10 years Kelly has recruited for many roles, from a zoo keeper to a General Manger of a Hotel throughout the whole of the UK.

She is highly skilled, with fantastic customer relationship management experience. She is really looking forward this new challenge, applying all the skills and experience she’s gained in internal recruitment to help Sayjo Recruitment clients to recruit the best candidates for their business.

Meet Bernie

Bernie Benson joined the recruitment world back in 2020, following a successful career in field-based sales for a large local manufacturer. Having worked for a manufacturer, she understands the difference good staff can make!

She joined Sayjo Recruitment in January 2024, focused on increasing the client base, offering high quality recruitment services to local businesses, across Kirklees, Calderdale and surrounding areas.

Bernie has a strong career history meeting and exceeding customer expectations; she takes the time to fully understand a client’s requirements and best match that to candidates in the market. She’s an excellent communicator across all levels, whether dealing with shopfloor or senior management. She’s happiest in a challenging, dynamic sales environment where delivering on the promises she makes really matters.
